2020-2021 Jockey Club Futsal League (Div.1) - League Update


Kwok Keung and Pak Hei locked horns in Sha Tin Racecourse Sports Ground on Monday night for a Futsal League – Division 1 fixture. Both sides traded goals back and forth and eventually settled on a thrilling 4:4 draw.

Kwok Hei got off to a fast start in the game and opened the score on the 5th minute. Lee Ka-wai unloaded from the edge of the penalty area and found the back of the net, putting Kwok Keung in front.

Pak Hei drew level on the 13th minute, as Lai Chun-wai’s tight-angle shot from the right side somehow beat the Kwok Leung goalkeeper and entered the net. The score was 1:1 and the first half eventually ended up all squared at one.

Goals were flying in from all angles in the second half. On the 23rd minute, Tse King-cho connected with a Lai Chun-wai delivery and sent a sliding shot home, putting Pak Hei in front 2:1.

Kwok Keung duly drew level on the 27th minute, as Tsang Hon-lam’s long-range blast hit the back of the net, making it 2:2.

Kwok Keung pulled in front on the 31st minute. Choi Hiu-chi’s shot was turned away by the Pak Hei goalkeeper. Choi went for the rebound and tucked the ball home, giving Kwok Keung a 3:2 lead.

Pak Hei was not sitting back and equalized on the 34th minute. Lai Chun-wai’s shot rung off the Kwok Keung goal-post and stayed out of the net. Kwok Yu-chung was quick to the rebound and knocked the ball home. The score was now 3:3.

On the 38th minute, Pak Hei committed its sixth foul in the half and the referee awarded Kwok Keung with a second-penalty kick. Tsang Hon-lam buried his shot and put Kwok Keung in front 4:3.

Late in the game, Pak Hei’s Kwok Yu-ching found himself on the receiving end of a Lai Chun-wai pass and drilled the ball home, tying the game at 4:4.

At the final whistle, Kwok Keung and Pak Hei ended up settling on an exciting 4:4 draw.
