HKFA relief measures and applied funding support from HAB to support clubs

During this challenging time of COVID-19 epidemic, Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) has been working with the HKSAR government regarding relief measures, in order to reduce the impact for Hong Kong Premier League (HKPL) clubs. HKFA notified the clubs about the successful application in getting funding support from Home Affairs Bureau (HAB), which would be provided to HKFA in order to enable HKFA to waive the competition fees for the closed door matches and pitch rental charges for training sessions by HKPL clubs in February and March 2020.

Moreover, HKFA has been communicating with relevant parties in order to support the football community. The HKFA board supported the premier league clubs to arrange a total of 24 free broadcast matches in February and March so that football fans were able to watch the closed door matches in real time and free of charge.

HKFA will continue to monitor the situation closely, review our arrangements regarding reopening of Jockey Club HKFA Football Training Centre and programmes and provide an update in due course.
