Lethal R&F marksman Serge Deble bags BOC Life HKPL MVP honor (October 2019)
Having been scoring with regularity, then punctuating his solid performance this season with a four-goal effort against Best Union Yuen Long in an October premier league fixture. Hence It comes as little surprise that lethal R&F marksman Serge Deble has been named as the BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League MVP (October 2019), co-chosen by the Hong Kong Football Association and the Hong Kong Sports Press Association.
“My teammates do contribute a lot behind every single goal of mine,” stressed the thirty year-old forward, after learning his latest accomplishment in the Hong Kong Premier League.
“Without their selfless, dedicated support, I will never be able to score so many goals. As a matter of fact, every R&F player supports each other on the pitch and we are also very tight off the pitch. This is the reason why we are doing so well this season.”
Further adding to his comments, Deble pointed out R&F’s unity in the dressing room as another reason why the mainland side has got off to such as strong start this season.
“I thought we did very well in our preseason training camp in Portugal and that got us off to a positive start this season, hence I am not surprised by how well we have done so far in the premier league campaign.”
“We are also extremely focused in our daily training sessions and always execute the head coach’s game-plan on the pitch, which lead to some decent results in matches,” commented Deble, who has scored eight goals from eight appearances for R&F so far this season. (until 1st December 2019)
Looking ahead to the remainder of the season, Deble insists R&F will be charging forward, giving its outmost while gunning for every single honor in the premier league circuit.
“The premier league title-race is extremely tight, with teams being separated only by several points. If we can stay focused, play well in every game, I have all the confidence in the world that R&F will come up with some very good accomplishments at the end this season.”
