Lee Man striker Michael N’dri earns BOC Life HKPL MVP honor (August & September 2019)

With his non-stop scoring in the early season, Lee Man goal-machine Michael N’dri has been named as the BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League MVP (August & September 2019), co-chosen by the Hong Kong Football Association and the Hong Kong Sports Press Association.

While the new BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League campaign is still in the early stages, yet N’dri has already found himself in sparkling mid-season form. The Frenchman started the new campaign in stylish manner by putting on a hat-trick performance in Lee Man’s season-opener, then followed up by scoring three more goals in the next two games, making him the most sizzling-hot player in the whole premier league circuit.

“Winning the Monthly MVP award for August and September is obviously a joy. However, without the help of my teammates, I will never be able to score all these goals by myself,” explained the humble N’dri.

N’dri also explains that before arriving Lee Man midway last season, he had actually gone three months without playing. Hence a solid preseason training with Lee Man has been a tremendous boost to his own form and serves as a major reason behind his great start in the new campaign.

“To be honest with you, the team’s fast start in the new season has certainly caught me off guard a little bit,” the thirty-five year-old Frenchman said with a smile.

“Having said that, the team performed quite well in our Thailand training camp and the seeds were planted then. In fact, Lee Man had some wonderful players last season and we won the Sapling Cup as a result. With players returning more mature and the summer recruitments going right, it should be no surprise that the team is steadily climbing up the premier league ranks.”

Talking about Lee Man’s prospects in the new season, veteran N’dri has all the confidence in the world that his side is ready to do some serious damage in the premier league circuit.

“The fine start in the new season is going to give everyone in the team a tremendous boost of confidence. Believe me, there will be more surprises and positive results to follow in the remainder of the season!”
