Hong Kong Football Association is delighted to announce that Jockey Club Girls’ International Youth Invitational Football Tournament 2019 & the Jockey Club International Youth Invitational Football Tournament 2019 will be held on 28 – 30 March, 2019 and 19 – 22 April, 2019 at Po Kong Village Road Park Artificial Turf Football Pitch respectively. The tournaments are organized by the HKFA and supported by major partner The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust as part of the Jockey Club HKFA 5-Year Football Development Programme. The tournaments are also subvented by Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) and Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD).

The key objective of the tournament is to provide a platform for the Hong Kong Youth Representative Teams (Boys & Girls) to improve football skills and foster cultural exchange and understanding among young players from Hong Kong and nearby region. Players will gain valuable opportunities and experience through competitions to enhance their technical, tactical and physical level in the game and also broaden their football horizon.

Mr. Paul Woodland, Acting Chief Executive Officer of The Hong Kong Football Association said,

"On behalf of HKFA, we are hugely grateful for the support we have been receiving from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. This funding enables us to provide local young players with a platform to compete against players from other places. This year we have three exciting tournaments for U15 boys, U18 boys and U17 girls. Teams from Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Guam are invited. This creates great opportunities for our young players to improve their techniques, as well as learn more about the styles and systems of play by having such match-day experience, not to mention this will be a precious chance to engage with people from other places and cultures. We appreciate the teams for their participation and I look forward to their brilliant performance this year. I hope more fans will come and watch the matches, and of course cheer for Hong Kong."
