RedMR HK First Division League – Eastern Salon 4:2 Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei


Eastern Salon took on Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei on a glorious Saturday afternoon to kick-off this weekend’s first division program. A Giovane Da Silva hat-trick powered Eastern Salon past Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei, claiming a convincing 4:2 victory.
Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei generated the first scoring chance of the game on the 3rd minute when Mirko Teodorovic delivered a corner-kick that created havoc inside the Eastern Salon box. Defender Yuen Tsun-nam pounced on the loose ball but fired it wide.
Eastern Salon nearly opened the score on the 5th minute when Leung Tsz-chun blasted a thunderous free-kick that was pushed over the crossbar by Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei keeper Cheung Wai-hong.
The visitors almost netted the opening goal on the 21st minute when Cheung Kwok-ming’s showed off some great skills and shook off his marker before delivering the ball to the goal-mouth. Michel Lugo quickly fired but saw Eastern Salon keeper Paulo Cesar making a superb point-blank save. It was a great effort by the Brazilian keeper.
Eastern Salon opened the score on the 27th minute when Li Haiqiang’s free-kick was headed back towards goal by Dylan Macallister. Cheung Siu-wai stepped up and smashed the ball into the Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei net, making it a 1:0 game.
The home side doubled its lead on the 35th minute when Giovane Da Silva pulled the triggered from the edge of the box near the left flank. The ball found its way into the net at the far-post, giving Eastern Salon a 2:0 lead.
Eastern Salon stormed out to start the second-half and quickly found the back of the net again. On the 49th minute, Cheng Siu-wai left his marker behind before picking out Giovane Da Silva with a smart pass. Da Silva one-timed his shot and made it 3:0 for Eastern Salon.
The home side had another great chance on the 60th minute when Dylan Macallister nicely set up teammate Cheng Siu-wai in front of the Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei goal. Unfortunately, Cheng could only nudge his shot high above the visitor’s goal.
Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei pulled closer on the 63rd minute when Reinaldo Peres connected with a corner-kick and headed the ball into the Eastern Salon net. The score was now 3:1.
Eastern Salon reclaimed a three-goal lead on the 74th minute when Man Pei-tak delivered the ball into the box. Giovane Da Silva controlled the pass nicely before slicing it to the back of the Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei net. The Brazilian completed his hat-tick and made it 4:1.
The visitors once again pulled closer on deep in stoppage time when Michel Lugo’s cross was deflected into the Eastern Salon goal by one of its own player. The score was now 4:2.
The score remained unchanged towards the final whistle as Eastern Salon overcame Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei in a comfortable 4:2 victory.
