As the whistle blew, Kwoon Chung Southern made an aggressive start. At the 14-minute mark, Mahama Awal cut inside from the right flank before feeding a pass to Togashi Ryoo. However, Togashi Ryoo's attempt from the edge of the box narrowly missed the target.
BC Rangers regained composure and started to dictate the tempo. In the 23rd minute, Rindo Makoto's direct free-kick was safely gathered by the goalkeeper. Ten minutes later, a defensive blunder by Jose Carlos Araujo of Kwoon Chung Southern allowed Kamigata Yosuke to intercept. Unfortunately, his subsequent shot failed to find the back of the empty net.
In the 40th minute, BC Rangers continued to press. A dazzling run and cross from Kanda Yumemi on the left flank found Lam Ka Wai unmarked in the box, but his effort soared over the bar.
Two minutes later, the deadlock was finally broken. Kanda Yumemi's pinpoint pass set up Kamigata Yosuke who unleashed a powerful left-footed shot, giving BC Rangers a crucial 1:0 lead.
Before the halftime whistle, BC Rangers continued to threaten. Chiu Ching Yu Sergio latched onto Kanda Yumemi's pass and unleashed a fierce strike from the edge of the box, but it was expertly parried away by the keeper. Ibrahim's follow-up also failed to find the target, leaving the score 1:0 in favor of BC Rangers at the halftime.
The second half was a continuation of BC Rangers' dominance. In the 51st minute, Kanda Yumemi's robust right-footed shot was spectacularly saved by the keeper. Shortly after, Lam Hin Ting's long-range effort following a weak clearance was also comfortably held by the keeper.
BC Rangers were awarded a free-kick on the left in the 60th minute, and again, Kanda Yumemi's direct strike was denied by the goalkeeper.
In the dying moments, Kwoon Chung Southern had a glimmer of hope with Jackson Franklim's free-kick, but it was safely clutched by the goalkeeper.
In the closing stages, BC Rangers sealed their victory. Chan Yiu Cho Joe latched onto a long pass, made a brilliant solo run, deftly fired a left-footed shot that nestled into the far corner.
Finally, BC Rangers claimed a 2:0 victory over Kwoon Chung Southern, securing their spot in the final of the JC Sapling Cup.
