The hosts dominated possession in the opening period, but struggled to create clear-cut chances until the 32nd minute when Lo Kong Wai unleashed a venomous strike from the edge of the area, forcing a spectacular save from the Eastern goalkeeper.

The deadlock was broken just two minutes later when Yip Cheuk Man rose highest to powerfully head home Khan Jahangir's pinpoint corner delivery from the right flank,making it 1:0 for Crownity North District.

The hosts nearly doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time, as Ho Chun Ting's defense-splitting through ball released Matheus Soares, but his fierce drive was brilliantly parried away by the alert Eastern shot-stopper.

The visitors emerged transformed after the interval, and their persistence paid dividends in the 59th minute. Leung Kwun Chung's precise cross found Baffoe Noah unmarked in the penalty area, and the striker made no mistake with a clinical header to restore parity.

Eastern's momentum proved unstoppable as Leung Kwun Chung turned from provider to scorer, curling a sublime free-kick into the top corner to complete the turnaround.

Crownity North District's hopes of a comeback were dealt a severe blow in the 73rd minute when Wong Ching In Samuel received his marching orders after picking up a second booking.

Eastern capitalized on their numerical advantage deep into stoppage time, as Lam Hin Ting's explosive run down the left wing and intelligent cutback found Baffoe Noah, who calmly slotted home his second of the match to seal an emphatic 3:1 triumph for Eastern.
