Just three minutes later, another hopeful shot from Cheung Wai Ki sailed over the crossbar. However, Kitchee continued to press, with Kwong Wing Yan's audacious attempt from outside the penalty area being thwarted by the goalkeeper. In another instance, a cross from Chung Pui Ki found Cheung Wai Ki, whose header was cleared off the line by a vigilant Chelsea defense. The first half concluded with Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) leading 1:0.
The second half saw Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) coming close to extending their lead, as Tsang Lai Mae Halasan's powerful strike from the left side only managed to ripple the side netting. Undeterred, Kitchee found an equalizer in the 55th minute. After receiving Kwong Wing Yan's incisive pass, Cheung Wai Ki made a precision strike from the edge of the box that found the top corner of the net, leveling the score at 1:1. Riding the wave of momentum, Kitchee turned the tables four minutes later. Kwong Wing Yan found the back of the net after receiving a cross from the right, propelling Kitchee into a 2:1 lead. Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) launched a desperate effort to level the score, but their long-range attempts from Leung Hong Kiu Anke and Chan Yee Hing failed to threaten the goalkeeper. In a dramatic turn of events, Kitchee's Conceicao Isabella Da Souza nearly netted another in the closing stages of the game, but her shot was denied by the woodwork.
At the final whistle, Kitchee had successfully defended their lead, defeating Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) 2:1, scooping up all three points, and securing their status as champions of the Jockey Club Women's Football League (1st Division).
