Tai Po emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against Resources Capital at the Tai Po Sports Ground in the BOCHK Hong Kong Premier League. Tai Po dominated the game from start to finish, securing a comfortable 3:0 victory and claiming all three points to climb up to fourth place in the league standings.
Tai Po started the match aggressively and their efforts paid off just two minutes into the game when Luiz Humberto calmly slotted home a pass from Marcos Geraldino, opening the scoring for his team.
Tai Po continued to bombard Resources Capital's defense with aerial attack, and on the 25th minute,Joao Emir's free-kick found Gabriel, whose header was blocked by a defender before Marcos Geraldino's subsequent header was saved by the goalkeeper.
However, Tai Po extended their lead to 2:0 when Chung Wai Keung cut inside after picking up a long ball from Michael Renner and blasted the ball home with a powerful right-footed shot.
In the second half, Resources Capital launched a spirited comeback and created several scoring chances. Early in the half,Resources Capital threatened with a corner kick but was cleared by Tai Po's defender,Ho Sze Ki collected the loose ball and fired it wide.
On the 73rd minute,Resources Capital had a golden chance to pull one back, but Bradie Chrestian's powerful shot hit the crossbar after Ho Sze Ki's pass in the penalty area.
In stoppage time,Luiz Humberto made a darting run into the penalty area from the left side and unleashed a shot that grazed the goalkeeper's fingertips and hit the crossbar. Fortunately, Wong Hin Sum was quick to react and slotted the rebound into the empty net, sealing a comprehensive 3:0 victory for Tai Po.
With this win, Tai Po has not only secured all three points but also climbed up to fourth place in the league standings.
