Central & Western and Hoi King met up in Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground on Saturday afternoon for the FA Cup (Junior Division) Final. Annan Christian Kwesi netted the match-winner late in the game for Central & Western, as the district side went on to edge Hoi King 2:1 in the finale.

Central & Western produced better chances in the game. On the 13^th minute, Teles Veloso David Carlos pulled the ball back for teammate Cheung Chit Hang Adrian. The latter stepped up and let rip but could not bet Hoi King goalkeeper Chan Ka Ho on the occasion.

On the 23^rd minute, Central & Western winger Hui Wang Fung knocked the ball towards the middle, Teles Veloso David Carlos teed up Tsang Kin Fong for a long drive but was splendidly denied by Hoi King goalkeeper Chan Ka Ho.

Past the half hour mark, it was still Central & Western, as Hui Wang Fung unloaded from the top of the box but blasted the ball wide.

Late in the first half, Hoi King’s Ip Chung Long belted a long-range drive towards the Central & Western goal but could not locate the intended target.

The first half finished with both sides locked on a goalless draw.

Central & Western broke the game open early in the second half. Lam Wan Kit knocked a free-kick to the Hoi King danger area. Teles Veloso David Carlos poked the ball forward and past Hoi King goalkeeper Chan Ka Ho, allowing Cheung Chit Hang Adrian to fire the ball into the empty net, giving Central & Western a 1:0 lead.

Hoi King managed to equalize on the 65^th minute, as Park Ye Jun capitalized on a Central & Western defensive mistake and fired the ball home. The game was now tied at 1:1.

Just when the game looked set to move into extra-time, Central & Western duly pulled in front for the second time of the game. Hui Wang Fung found himself on the receiving end of a teammate’s cross and nodded the ball to the box. Annan Christian Kwesi took down the ball at the goal-mouth, then belted a right footer that found the far side of the Hoi King goal.
