North District and Central & Western clashed heads at the Moreton Terrace Temporary Playground for the Hong Kong Jockey Club Futsal League-Division 2B match. North District conceded the opening goal, but stormed back in the second half and defeated Central & Western with a 3:1 victory.

 

North District started the game aggressively and went knocking on Central & Western’s door in just one minute, with Liu Yik Shing shooting wide in the middle. On the 2nd minute, Yeung Ho Yin combined with teammate and pulled the trigger on the left flank, only to be saved by the goalkeeper.

 

Despite the disadvantage in possession, Central & Western produced some chances through counter-attack and scored the first goal of the game. On the 3rd minute, Chu Wing Chung unloaded a powerful free kick towards the left bottom corner and found the back of the net. Central& Western was up 1:0.

 

Central & Western District had another chance to extend their lead afterwards, with Chu Wing Chung ‘s shot from the center being saved by the goalkeeper on the 5th minute, and his shot from tight angle was paved away by the goalkeeper again just one minute later.

 

North District fought back to find an equalizer, but Liu Yik Shing’s two powerful shots were stopped by the goalkeeper. Just before halftime, North District almost tied the game, Yeung Ho Yin connected with a lovely pass form Tse Cheuk Fung and fired from short range, only to see his effort was cleared off the line by Leung Yiu Shun.The first half finished with Central & Western leading 1:0 over North District.

 

Central & Western almost scored again after the game resumed.Lai Po Yi Bobby sent Leung Yiu Shun through on goal in a counterattack, but his effort was blocked by the goalkeeper.

 

North District gradually took control of the game and finally tied the game on the 23rd minute,Yeung Ho Yin connected with a well-placed corner and drove the ball home to make it 1:1.

 

Liu Yik Shing was a constant threat in the second half and stepped up to be the hero of the game, firstly scoring from a tight angle on the left flank on the 25th minute, and then shook off his marker and fired the ball home on the 29th minute, giving North District a 3-1 lead in four minutes.

 

Central & Western did not give up and continued to fight back. On the 38th minute, Leung Ho Yin robbed the ball in the front and unleashed from distance outside the box, only to be saved by the goalkeeper. North District managed to nurse its lead towards the final whistle and saw off Central & Western through a 3:1 victory in the end.
