Mutual quickly turned the tables, showing slight dominance. Pang Chun Nam Marco's ambitious long-range effort was parried away by goalkeeper Chu Shing Yuk, while Wong Wai Hei's following attempt from close-range failed to find the mark.

The 18th minute saw Yau Tsim Mong on the offensive, with Yan Ronald Chi Kan delivering a surprise shot from the right wing, narrowly missing as the ball sailed just over the crossbar.

The pace escalated in the second half with both teams crafting numerous opportunities. At the 21-minute mark, Mutaul's Tam Ho Pong latched onto Leung Yu Hin's pass and pulled the trigger inside the box,but his effort was just wide.

Despite less ball possession, Yau Tsim Mong managed to break the deadlock. Capitalizing on a defensive blunder from Mutual, Wong Ho Man coolly slotted home into an empty net, nudging his team ahead 1:0.

Behind on the scoreboard, Mutual tried to mount a robust comeback. In the 23rd minute, Pang Chun Nam Marco's left-footed curler was spectacularly saved by Chu Shing Yuk.

However, Mutual's persistence paid off in the 26th minute when they pulled level. Pang Chun Nam Marco robbed the ball from Chu Shing Yuk and fired into an open net from midfield, drawing Mutual level at 1:1.

Mutual continued dictating the flow of the game, eventually seizing the lead in the 32nd minute. Wong Yu Fung Ethan connected with Kwong Tsz Hin's pass, hammering in a tight-angled shot from the right to establish a 2:1 lead.

Yau Tsim Mong saw a glimmer of hope in the 35th minute with a chance to equalize. However, Ho Ngo Hin's close-range effort was expertly blocked by Chan Kai Hong's foot.
