In a thrilling Jockey Club Futsal League (FA Cup Second Round) semi-final clash, Kuitan demolished Best Union Yuen Long 5:1 to book their place in the final showdown against Eastern District.

Kuitan struck early, breaking the deadlock just three minutes in when LUI Ka Wing picked up possession and unleashed a thunderous right-footed strike that flew into the top corner, giving his side a 1:0 advantage.

Best Union Yuen Long hit back immediately, restoring parity just sixty seconds later as CHU Ho Lam cut inside from the right wing and curled a left-footed effort into the far corner to level the scores at 1:1.

The 6th minute saw Best Union Yuen Long threaten again when HUNG Kin Yi latched onto a through ball from CHAN Chun Wing, only to be denied by a sharp save from goalkeeper CHAN Chun Hin who rushed out to narrow the angle.

Kuitan survived the scare and regained the lead in the 8th minute through CHU Wing Chung, who shook off his marker down the right channel before rifling home to make it 2:1.

The momentum remained with Kuitan as they continued to dominate proceedings, with CUENCA Ralph Ambrad's venomous strike brilliantly tipped away by the goalkeeper, while CHU Wing Chung's goal-bound effort was heroically cleared off the line by a defender.

The pressure finally told in the 17th minute when Kuitan doubled their advantage, LUI Ka Wing collecting a pass from the right before coolly slotting past the goalkeeper to extend the lead to 3:1.

Best Union Yuen Long nearly pulled one back before the interval, but SY Chun Hin's long-range effort cannoned back off the crossbar.

The half-time whistle blew with Kuitan holding a comfortable 3:1 lead over Best Union Yuen Long.

Kuitan came out flying after the restart, netting their fourth just one minute into the second half as YEUNG Chi Lun found the far corner from an acute angle on the right to make it 4:1.

Best Union Yuen Long battled to get back into the contest and ramped up the pressure, but WONG Dik Sang Dickson blazed over from a promising position unmarked in the area, while CHU Ho Lam 's close-range attempt was smothered by the alert goalkeeper.

Kuitan put the game to bed in the 9th minute of the second half with a devastating counter-attack, CUENCA Ralph Ambrad receiving a long ball before teeing up the unmarked k8 who made no mistake from close range to complete the rout at 5:1.

Best Union Yuen Long pushed for a consolation goal in the closing stages but were frustrated by Kuitan's resolute defending and were limited to half-chances. The final whistle confirmed a comprehensive 5:1 victory for Kuitan, setting up a mouth-watering final rematch with Eastern District.

Kuitan captain YEUNG Chi Lun was delighted with his team's display: "To be honest, we're not a professional outfit and we don't get many training sessions together, so today's performance exceeded our expectations. Credit to Yuen Long, they're a young side with plenty of potential who were hampered by injuries today, and I'm sure they have a very bright future." Looking ahead to the final against Eastern District, he's determined to settle the score: "I have complete faith in the quality of our squad, though we are carrying a bit more age and may struggle to match them physically. They beat us in last year's final, so hopefully it's our turn to lift the trophy this time around."
