The Football Association of Hong Kong, China (HKFA) announced today that Roberto Losada, current Head Coach of Eastern Football Club, has been appointed as Interim Head Coach of the Hong Kong, China Men’s Representative Team (HKRT) until the recruitment process for a new head coach is completed. This move aims to ensure stability during the transition period and maintain the team’s readiness for upcoming fixtures.
Roberto Losada’s first match as Interim Head Coach will be the 44th Guangdong–Hong Kong Cup, First Leg, where the HKRT will face Guangdong on Sunday, 28 December 2025 at 8:00 PM at Hong Kong Stadium.
At the same time, the HKFA will officially launch an open recruitment process for the new head coach of the representative team, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process that attracts candidates with a global vision and professional competence.
