Just one minute into the match, Jianlibao (Hong Kong)'s WONG Ka Sze received a pass from a teammate and volleyed home from close range to give his team the lead.

After conceding, United Citizen quickly adjusted and regained much of the attacking momentum. In the 6th minute, their LAU Yun Yi took a shot from a tight angle on the right, but it went wide.

In the 8th minute,United Citizen's CHAN Tik Man dribbled past a defender on the right and shot but failed to hit the target.

In the 9th minute, a scramble ensued inside the Jianlibao penalty area. United Citizen's MO Yan Hei reacted quickest and shot from close range, but the Jianlibao goalkeeper saved it.

United Citizen continued to create several shooting opportunities afterward but could not beat the Jianlibao goalkeeper CHOW Kam Yee.

In the 16th minute,United Citizen finally found the equalizer. Their LAU Yun Yi shot from a tight angle on the left, sending the ball straight into the far corner to make it 1–1.

The first half ended with the score tied at 1–1.

In the second half, United Citizen continued to dominate proceedings. In the 24th minute, MO Yan Hei stabbed a shot from close range, but the goalkeeper held onto it.

In the 25th minute, United Citizen's TAM Ka Yin controlled a long pass and hit a first-time volley, which the goalkeeper pushed out for a corner.

United Citizen's attacks came in waves. In the 36th minute, KWAN Wing Yu's free-kick cannoned off the crossbar and away.

With the match ending 1–1 after regulation time, a penalty shootout was required.

Jianlibao (Hong Kong) won the penalty shootout 5–4 and advanced to the final.

This goal proved that we executed the coach's plan." After defeating United Citizen, Jianlibao (Hong Kong) will face Kitchee in the final. WONG Ka Sze expressed anticipation for the final: "The last time we met them, we lost. This time, we need to watch footage of that match and make improvements."
