BC Rangers commenced the match with a flurry of attacking initiatives. Just 3 minutes into the game, Kamigata Yosuke made a play for the goal following a pass from Kanda Yumemi, but missed the target. Hayashi Ryota then rattled the woodwork with a fierce 30-yard free kick at the 16th minute.
Tai Po, after steadying their game, reclaimed a significant amount of momentum. In the 17th minute, Lucas Da Silva lofted a high shot over the bar, after latching onto a pass from Guilherme Bitencourt in the box.
Scoring was inaugurated just a minute later by Tai Po. Michel Renner intercepted the ball from Lam Hin Ting and set up Lucas Da Silva, who drilled a powerful right-footed shot into the net from the box, giving Tai Po a 1:0 lead.
The 23rd minute saw BC Rangers with a golden opportunity. Lam Ka Wai attempted a shot in the area after receiving a back-pass from Kamigata Yosuke, but it lacked the force to challenge the goalkeeper.
Tai Po doubled their lead in the 27th minute, as Chan Siu Kwan Philip's close-range effort was parried by the goalkeeper, only for Guilherme Bitencourt to comfortably slot home the rebound, making it 2:0 to Tai Po.
BC Rangers retaliated two minutes later, narrowing the deficit. Ibrahim embarked on a surging run down the right flank and delivered a cross. The keeper mishandled the catch, presenting the ball to Kamigata Yosuke who swiftly fired into the unguarded net. The first half concluded with Tai Po leading 2:1.
The second half kicked off with BC Rangers immediately threatening. Kanda Yumemi's ambitious long-range effort from outside the box in the 49th minute was repelled by the keeper, and Ibrahim's subsequent strike was also thwarted.
Tai Po progressively tightened their grip on the match. Chan Siu Kwan Philip and Marcos Geraldino Dos Santos both saw their attempts saved by the keeper, while a close-range header from Chan also missed the mark.
Lucas Da Silva's shot in the 74th minute, following a cross from Guilherme Bitencourt on the right, was heroically cleared off the line by Lo Kwan Yee.
However, the 80th minute saw Tai Po extend their lead. Michel Renner connected with a long ball from Marcos Geraldino Dos Santos and headed it into the path of Lucas Da Silva, who cooly slotted it past the keeper, boosting Tai Po's lead to 3:1. Adding to their tally, Chan Siu Kwan Philip artfully lifted a shot over the keeper and into the net before the final whistle, following a deft pass from Michel Renner.
When the dust settled, Tai Po emerged victorious with a convincing 4:1 win over BC Rangers, successfully securing all three points.
