BC Rangers met up with Kwoon Chung Southern in Mong Kok Stadium on Wednesday night for the 2023-24 BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League clash. Kwoon Chung Southern got a 4:0 victory over BC Rangers.

Kwoon Chung Southern hit the ground running from the onset. At the 5-minute mark, Ju Yingzhi initiated a free kick from the left wing. Dos Santos Kessi Isac, outmuscling Kim Minkyu, managed to head the ball into the net. However, a subsequent VAR review revealed an offside player, leading to the disqualification of the goal.

BC Rangers regrouped and began creating significant scoring opportunities. In the 35th minute, Ibrahim latched onto a long pass from Kanda Yumemi, made a turn, and unleashed a shot in the penalty box that was thwarted by the goalkeeper.

By the 31st minute, Yiu Ho Ming received a long pass from Rindo Makoto and delivered a cross from the left flank. Ibrahim skillfully evaded a defender and fired a powerful shot from a narrow angle, only to be denied once again by the goalkeeper.

Just before the halftime whistle, BC Rangers' defense was breached. Mahama Awal capitalized on a through ball from Togashi Ryoo, maneuvered into the penalty area, and released a fierce shot into the net, handing Kwoon Chung Southern a 1:0 lead at the end of the first half.

Throughout the second half, despite BC Rangers' relentless attempts to make a comeback, Kwoon Chung Southern's attack seemed more formidable. In the 53rd minute, Dos Santos Kessi Isac's long ball found its way into the penalty box, where Stefan Pereira was brought down by Yiu Ho Ming. The referee immediately pointed to the penalty spot, and Stefan Pereira coolly converted the spot-kick to double the lead.

In the 69th minute, BC Rangers narrowly escaped conceding another goal. Sasaki Shu darted into the penalty area from the left and made a cross. Togashi Ryoo's shot struck Chan Yiu Cho Joe's hand, awarding Kwoon Chung Southern another penalty. However, Dos Santos Kessi Isac's attempt was spectacularly saved by the goalkeeper.

By the 81st minute, Kwoon Chung Southern successfully extended their advantage. Togashi Ryoo delivered a pass to the edge of the penalty area, and Dos Santos Kessi Isac let rip a long-range shot that nestled into the bottom corner, extending Kwoon Chung Southern's lead to 3:0.

During injury time, BC Rangers' defense cracked once again. Stefan Pereira made a run into the box from the right and crossed the ball to the unmarked Jackson Franklim, who calmly drived the ball home.

Finally, Kwoon Chung Southern clinched a resounding 4:0 victory over BC Rangers, bagging all three points.
