On Wednesday (March 11), United Citizen claimed a commanding 3:1 victory over WSE in the Jockey Club Women's Futsal League fixture at Hoi Sham Park, securing all three points.

United Citizen controlled proceedings from the opening whistle, with CHAN Wing Ching beating two defenders down the left before her effort sailed narrowly wide, followed by a stinging long-range drive that LIU Sze Ki did well to parry away.

WSE fashioned a response within a minute, TSE Man Ching winning possession and teeing up SO Ka Sin, but LUNG Wing Yan was equal to the strike.

The deadlock was broken in the 7th minute when WEL Lan picked out the unmarked MO Yan Hei on the left, and she made no mistake with a thunderous finish to put United Citizen ahead.

Three minutes later, the advantage was doubled as CHAN Tik Man cut in from the right wing and curled a sublime effort into the top corner.

United Citizen continued to threaten, with CHAN Wing Ching surging through the middle before finding LAU Nga Ching Katrina, whose shot from an acute angle was kept out by the keeper.

WSE showed signs of life before the interval, TSE Man Ching playing a neat one-two on the edge of the area, but her effort couldn't trouble the goalkeeper.

The half-time whistle blew with United Citizen holding a comfortable 2:0 cushion.

United Citizen picked up where they left off after the restart. In the 25th minute, LAU Yun Yi whipped a dangerous ball to the back post, but TAM Ka Yin couldn't quite reach it in time. Two minutes later, MO Yan Hei let fly from distance after receiving possession on the left, but her attempt whistled just wide.

The third goal arrived in the 27th minute when CHAN Tik Man's marauding run was halted, allowing TAM Ka Yin to capitalize on the loose ball and slot home from close range.

United Citizen's intensity dropped thereafter, with WSE enjoying more possession and territory. In the 38th minute, SO Ka Sin connected with a corner kick from the right, but the custodian gathered comfortably.

WSE grabbed a consolation in stoppage time when TSE Man Ching threaded a ball through for SO Ka Sin, whose initial effort was saved by the onrushing keeper, but she reacted quickest to tuck away the rebound.

The final whistle confirmed a 3:1 triumph for United Citizen, who collected all three points from the encounter.
