In the 14th week of the Jockey Club Women’s First Division Football League, 4th-placed United Citizen faced off against 3rd-placed Sha Tin at the Tsing Yi Northeast Playground. Sha Tin secured a 2–1 victory with a two-goal lead in the first half, claiming all three points.
Sha Tin dominated the match from the start, consistently applying pressure and creating threats. Just three minutes in, Sha Tin capitalized on a free-kick opportunity, with KUNG YUET CHARIS scoring amid a goalmouth scramble after a defensive error, taking an early 1–0 lead. Sha Tin maintained control in the first half, launching attacks through MA HIU WAI NICK and WAI YUEN TING, who both broke into the box but failed to extend the lead. In the 15th minute, WAI YUEN TING delivered a precise long pass from the left flank to LEE WING YAN near the right byline. LEE WING YAN controlled the ball and crossed into the six-yard box, where KUNG YUET CHARIS calmly finished to complete a brace, extending Sha Tin’s lead to 2–0. In the 18th minute, United Citizen mounted an attack from the right, which was neutralized by Sha Tin’s defense. WAI YUEN TING then seized a counterattack opportunity but could not convert. In the 29th minute, United Citizen finally found the net through a quick break. KWAN WING YU received a long pass from the back, lifted the ball past a defender, and fired home to narrow the deficit to 1–2. Sha Tin entered halftime with a one-goal advantage.
United Citizen showed some improvement in the second half but struggled to break through Sha Tin’s defense. Sha Tin continued to press forward aggressively. In the 53rd minute, LEE WING YAN dribbled to the byline and crossed, but WAI YUEN TING’s header missed the target, squandering a chance to extend the lead. United Citizen pushed hard for an equalizer, creating opportunities but lacking finishing precision. In the 79th minute, WAN TSZ YAU had a one-on-one chance but failed to convert. A minute later, KUNG YUET CHARIS surged down the right flank and delivered a cross, but no teammate was there to meet it. Both sides exchanged attacks late in the game, with United Citizen refusing to give up and repeatedly using speed to launch assaults before the final whistle.
However, they were unable to find an equalizer, and Sha Tin held on for a 2–1 victory, securing all three points.
