The Football Association of Hong Kong, China (HKFA) is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the “AFC Member Association of the Year – Gold” at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Annual Awards held today in Saudi Arabia. The award recognises outstanding achievements by AFC member associations over the past year in areas including football promotion, youth development, competitive performance, and community engagement.


Over the years, HKFA has been dedicated to promoting the popularisation and professionalisation of local football. The Association has actively implemented youth training programmes, enhanced coaching and refereeing standards, and continuously developed women’s and community football initiatives. Meanwhile, Representative Teams have achieved steady improvement in international competitions, further enhancing the city’s image and status on the Asian football stage.

HKFA Chairman Mr. Eric Fok, JP, said: “Receiving recognition from the AFC is a tremendous encouragement to the entire Hong Kong football family. This award belongs to all players, coaches, fans, and stakeholders who have contributed to the advancement of Hong Kong football. We will continue to move forward and drive Hong Kong football into a new era.”


Building on this honour, the HKFA will continue to make progress in youth development, women’s football, and the Hong Kong Premier League, working hand in hand with stakeholders to further develop the game and bring more exciting moments to fans.
