The Football Association of Hong Kong, China (HKFA) is delighted to announce that a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed with the Japan Football Association (JFA). Mr. Eric Fok, Chairman of HKFA, has signed the MOU with Mr. Tsuneyasu Miyamoto, President of JFA during the 35th AFC Congress Kuala Lumpur.

HKFA signed the first MOU with JFA back in 2016, this renewal aims to cooperate in developing strong ties between both respective bodies for the mutual benefit, promotion, growth, and success of football in both territories, and to protect the football values and traditions. The MOU covers various fields, including player development (Men’s and Women’s), coach education, women’s football, referee, representative teams, facility management and operation, and futsal development.

Especially for the support and exchange of expertise regarding representative team management, meanwhile, granting assistance in terms of technical, logistics, facilities when representative teams (men and women) have training camp in each territory, and arrange strong opponents of highest leagues to player practice matches or friendly during the time of training camps, etc.
