In a thrilling encounter at the Jockey Club HKFA Football Training Centre Pitch No.4 on Sunday (April 6), TSL FC clinched a vital 1:0 victory against HKFC in the Jockey Club Women's Youth Football League (U15) fixture, claiming all three points.

Despite controlling the lion's share of possession in the opening exchanges, HKFC found themselves frustrated by TSL FC's resolute defensive display. The deadlock was broken in the 18th minute when TSL FC launched a devastating counterattack. A pinpoint cross from the left flank by Wong Tsz Yiu was only partially cleared by the HKFC defence, falling perfectly for Cheung Ching Yan who unleashed an unstoppable strike from outside the area that flew into the top corner, making it 1:0.The response from HKFC was immediate, with Cheung Reina Ming Yee testing her luck from distance, but her effort proved comfortable for goalkeeper Ching Yuet. HKFC continued to press forward and carved out their best opportunity of the half in the 24th minute. A defence-splitting through ball from Cheung Reina Ming Yee sent Chua Sophia clean through on goal, but she could only drag her shot wide from an acute angle. HKFC maintained their attacking momentum, with Chua Sophia at the heart of their offensive efforts. She latched onto a long ball in the 27th minute, but her left-footed attempt lacked the power to trouble Ching Yuet.

Chua Sophia continued to pose threats, first forcing a save from Ching Yuet with a well-struck effort from the edge of the box in the 36th minute, before showing excellent footwork to beat two defenders moments later, only to fire wide from a tight angle. As the first half drew to a close, Chan Augusta Pearl created space in central midfield and unleashed a powerful drive that whistled past the upright, leaving TSL FC holding onto their slender 1:0 advantage at the interval.

The second period began with TSL FC showing more attacking intent. Their closest call came in the 49th minute when Cheung Ching Yan demonstrated excellent vision to head across goal for Chow Pui Kei, whose first-time effort rattled the crossbar. They threatened again shortly after when Wong Ying Jeon nearly capitalized on a rare error from goalkeeper Kim Aone, but the shot-stopper recovered brilliantly to preserve the one-goal deficit. HKFC's best chance to restore parity came from a 60th-minute corner, delivered with precision by Comsa Aprilia-Carina, but Bariclman Saya's header sailed harmlessly over the crossbar.

TSL FC continued to look dangerous on the break, with Chow Pui Kei showcasing her individual brilliance in the 66th minute, cutting inside from the left wing before sending her effort just wide of the target. As fatigue set in during the closing stages, clear-cut opportunities became scarce. Cheung Reina Ming Yee's speculative effort from distance was comfortably gathered by Ching Yuet, while at the other end, Chow Pui Kei's attempt from Ma Kong Sum's cushioned pass was well saved by Kim Aone.

In the end, TSL FC's defensive resilience proved decisive as they held on a 1:0 victory, claiming three crucial points in this tightly contested affair.
