Kwoon Chung Southern took control of the game right from the start, securing an early lead in the 11th minute. Chan Hoi Pak Paco, on the receiving end of a precise pass from Stefan Pereira, stormed into the penalty area and was brought down by Liang Ngai Tung, resulting in a penalty. Stefan Pereira demonstrated composure and slotted the ball into the bottom right corner, propelling Kwoon Chung Southern to a 1:0 advantage.
Buoyed by their lead, Kwoon Chung Southern continued their dominance on the field. In the 17th minute, Kawase Kota connected with Sasaki Shu's free-kick delivery, attempting a powerful header, but unfortunately missed the target. However, just four minutes later, the Southern center-back found redemption. Chan Hoi Park Paco's corner-kick found him unmarked at the far post, and he expertly nodded the ball into the net, extending the team's lead to 2:0. Moments before the end of the first half, Kwoon Chung Southern had another golden opportunity to score. Sasaki Shu's pass from the left wing found the unmarked Ichikawa Sohgo, who effortlessly tapped the ball in. However, the goal was disallowed due to an offside call. Nonetheless, Kwoon Chung Southern entered halftime with a comfortable 2:0 lead.
Sham Shui Po tried to mount a comeback in the second half but they struggled to produced solid scoring chances. Just two minutes into the second half, Ngan Cheuk Pan attempted a narrow-angle shot from a pass by Chang Kwong Yin, but it was easily gathered by the goalkeeper. In a swift counter-attacking move, Kwoon Chung Southern capitalized on a defensive blunder by Sham Shui Po. Tai Ting Hong gave away the ball to Dos Santos Kessi Isac at the edge of the box,the latter quickly fed the ball to the waiting Stefan Pereira, who unleashed a ferocious shot, leaving the net bulging and the scoreline reading 3:0 in favor of Kwoon Chung Southern.
Following the goal, Kwoon Chung Southern continued to create numerous scoring opportunities. Merkies Raohael's pass from the left wing found Stefan Pereira at the edge of the penalty area, but his thunderous strike was brilliantly saved by the agile goalkeeper. However, in the 76th minute, Kwoon Chung Southern was awarded yet another penalty. Jose Carlos was fouled inside the penalty area, and with utmost confidence, Stefan Pereira stepped up and coolly converted the spot-kick, completing his hat-trick. Both teams failed to find the back of the net for the remainder of the game, and the final whistle blew with Kwoon Chung Southern emerging as convincing 4:0 victors over Sham Shui Po.
