Crownity North District took on Sham Shui Po at Sham Shui Po Sports Ground for the latest BOC Hong Kong Premier League fixture.Crownity North District earned their first victory after being promoted to the Hong Kong Premier League with a 4:1 win over Shan Shui Po,thanks to Wong Wai Kwok’s brace. Crownity North District took an early lead against Sham Shui Po, scoring in just 4 minutes through a header from Matheus Porto Silva off a cross from Cheung Chun Hin Marco. However, Sham Shui Po equalized 5 minutes later when Panupong set up Nicolas for a timely header into the net. On the 16th minute, Sham Shui Po had a chance to take the lead when Chang Kwong Yin fired a powerful shot into the net from the edge of the penalty area, but the goal was disallowed after the video assistant referee ruled that a Sham Shui Po player was offside.
Crownity North District regained their control of the game afterwards. Their wingers proved to be a constant threat throughout the game,but both Cheung Chun Hin Marco and Kendy Renato failed to conver their headers. On the 39th minute, Lam Lok Kan Jordan’s effort from Weverton’s cross was denied by the goalkeeper.The first half ended in a 1-1 draw between the two teams. Sham Shui Po created some good scoring chances after the break, but struggled to convert them. On the 49th minute, Nicholas missed a golden chance to put his side ahead, as his free-kick effort hit the crossbar. Then, on the 68th minute, Panupong's shot was saved by the goalkeeper. However, their missed chances came back to haunt them on the 75th minute when Wong Wai Kwok scored from a left-wing cross by Lam Lok Kan Jordan, giving Crownity North District the lead once again. Sham Shui Po tried to mount a comeback, but Crownly North District 's defense held strong. They took advantage of their opponent's defense loophole and scored two more goals. On the 88th minute, Wong Wai Kwok received a pass from Naveed and passed it back to Lo Kong Wai, who scored a powerful shot to make it 3-1. In extra time, Wong Wai Kwok scored again to complete his brace, and Crownity North District finally beat Sham Shui Po 4-1, securing their first victory after being promoted to the Hong Kong Premier League.
