Kwoon Chung Southern will lock horns with Lee Man on Saturday afternoon for a highly charged JC Sapling Cup Final. The clash will take place in Mongkok Stadium and kick-off time is set at 15:00.
Kwoon Chung Southern finished first in Group A and collected nineteen points from eight group fixtures, The Hong Kong Island-side then had an epic battle with BC Rangers in the semi-final and managed to scrap past its opponent through a dramatic penalty-shootout victory. Brazilian striker Jean Moser has done exceptionally in the JC Sapling Cup this season by scoring six goals so far in the competition. In additional, diminutive striker Stefan Pereira also has four goals under his name in the competition and should provide great cover for Moser up-front. Veteran goalkeeper Tse Tak-him will be retiring from the professional game after the weekend and it remains to be seen whether Kwoon Chung Southern can send its respected veteran off with a JC Sapling Cup triumph.
Lee Man finished second in Group A and earned a spot in the knockout stage. The ambitious side then scrapped past Eastern by the slimmest margin, winning 1:0 and punching its ticket to the JC Sapling Cup Final. Brazilian speedster Everton Camargo has been one of the hottest player in the Lee Man attack all season long, yet the trust-worthy marksman picked up a red card in the final premier league fixture of the season and could very well sit out the JC Sapling Cup Final, thus hampering Lee Man’s winning chances. However, Lee Man still boasts superb talent in the squad, and with talented attackers such as Givanilton Martins and Jonatan Acosta in the lineup, Lee Man will always be on the cusp of scoring the next goal.
