Wofoo Tai Po entertained BC Rangers on Sunday afternoon for one of the five BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League fixtures of the day. BC Rangers went firing on all cylinders on the day and beat Wofoo Tai Po through a commanding 5:1 victory.

On the opening minutes, BC Rangers generated the first scoring chance of the game, as Walter Junior released Ibrahim Yakubu with a lovely forward pass. The latter unloaded a quick shot on the left side but blasted the ball wide.
BC Rangers broke the game open on the 11th minute, as Ibrahim Yakubu nodded home Yumemi Kanda’s corner-kick delivery. BC Rangers was now leading 1:0.
The visitors doubled their lead on the 22nd minute, as the referee spotted a Wofoo Tai Po player committed hand ball inside his own penalty area and awarded BC Rangers with a spot-kick. Yumemi Kanda assumed the penalty-shot duty and drilled the ball home. It was now 2:0 for BC Rangers.
Wofoo Tai Po had a half decent chance to pull one back late in the first half. On the 38th minute, Chan Hiu-fung unloaded a long-range drive but saw his strike smartly paved away by Leung Hing-kit in the BC Rangers net.
Both sides exchanged solid scoring chances afterwards, as Wofoo Tai Po’s Gabriel Cividini saw his header sailed over the BC Rangers crossbar, while BC Rangers’ Lam Hok-hei saw his header brilliantly saved by Wofoo Tai Po veteran shot-stopper Li Hon-ho.
Late in the first half, Fernando Alcantara’s header rung off the Wofoo Tai Po goal-post and stayed out of the net. A Wofoo Tai Po player tried to clear the ball away but blasted it on Lam Hok-hei. The ball eventually hit Lam and entered the Wofoo Tai Po net. It was now 3:0 for the visitors.
The first half finished with BC Rangers enjoying a 3:0 lead over Wofoo Tai Po.
Early in the second half, BC Rangers almost added to its lead, as Lam Hok-hei broke behind the Wofoo Tai Po defense and tried to set up teammate Ibrahim Yakubu. The latter fired away but hit the goal-post with his strike.
On the 54th minute, BC Rangers duly made it 4:0, as Ibrahim Yakubu showed off tremendous speed, darted into the Wofoo Tai Po box and fired a left footer home.
On the 64th minute, BC Rangers was at it again. This time, Jean Kilama knocked the ball towards the middle. Ryota Hayashi seized the opportunity and nodded the ball home, making it 5:0 in the process.
Wofoo Tai Po managed to pull one back on the 67th minute, as Lee Ka-ho fired home from the BC Rangers doorstep, putting Wofoo Tai Po on the scoreboard.
Both sides failed to add to the score in the remaining regulation time, as BC Rangers managed to snatch a 5:1 victory over Wofoo Tai Po on the day.
