In the Jockey Club Futsal League – Division 2B match played at Hoi Sham Park on Wednesday (26 April), North District established an early lead in the game, eventually beating 3 Sing by 9:3 to secure three points.

 

North District got off to a flying start and opened the score in just 4 minutes with a goal from Fong Chun Yip, but a great counter-attack score from Chan Chi Kit tied the game at 1:1.Howver, it was still North District enjoying the upper hand, and regained their late in the first half. Liu Yik Shing shook off his marker on the left flank and picked out Fong Chun Yip by a fine pass in the far post, the latter finished with ease and made it 2:1. North District kept the goals coming and scored twice within two minutes afterward. Yang Tsz Pan found Fong Chun ip inside the box after a wall pass with a teammate, the latter tucked the ball home, turning a 3:1 North District lead. And just one minute later, Liu Yik Shing skinned two defenders before launching a rocket in the middle past the goalkeeper. The first half eventually wrapped up with North District establishing a 4:1 lead over 3 Sing.

North District continued to put pressure on 3 Sing, with So Wing He crashing in at the near post to make it 5-1, then Fong Chun Yip scored his fourth goal of the game in a solo performance to make it 6-1. On the 28th minute, North District added to its lead with a score from Tse Cheuk Fung assisted by Fong Chun Yip.

3 Sing seems to have woken up and responded twice afterward, Chan Chi Kit sent the ball into the back of the net after an amazing combination with a teammate in the middle. He then connected with Tam Ka Ho’s pass and scored again three minutes later.

 

North District resumed the onslaught afterward, Tse Cheuk Fung and Liu Yik Shing each scored a goal before the full-time whistle. North District came up with a 9:3 victory in the end and claimed all three points.
