On Saturday, June 22, the Jockey Club Youth Football League match was held at the Happy Valley Recreation Ground. Sham Shui Po defeated Kwai Tsing 1-0 and secured the Jockey Club Youth Football League U14 FA Cup third place.
In the early stages of the match, Kwai Tsing focused their attacks on the wings, and they had some good chances. Kwai Tsing's player Law, Ho Shing Andrew took a free-kick that hit the wall, and he followed up with a shot that was saved by the goalkeeper. Neither team created many threatening chances in the first period.
In the second period, Sham Shui Po took control of the game. In the 23rd minute, Sham Shui Po's Shum, Ho Long turned several defenders in the box and took a shot, which was eventually cleared. Kwai Tsing then launched a counterattack, with Law, Ho Shing Andrew intentionally leaving the pass for the overlapping Wan, Hei Yu Esmond, but the shot missed the target. Two minutes later, Sham Shui Po's Shum, Ho Yeung displayed individual skills, dribbling past several players and taking a shot that the goalkeeper comfortably saved. Just before the end of the second period, Kwai Tsing's Hung, Yat Long took a shot from distance, but it did not trouble the goalkeeper.
After the start of the third period, Kwai Tsing increased their attacking efforts. Heung, Pak Yin headed a free-kick just wide of the goal, and later, Kwai Tsing's Law, Ho Shing Andrew dribbled past three players but was denied by the defense. Kwai Tsing then had a player foul in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. Sham Shui Po's Shum, Ho Yeung stepped up and converted the spot-kick to give his team a 1-0 lead.
Sham Shui Po successfully held on to their lead until the final whistle, defeating Kwai Tsing 1-0 and securing the Jockey Club Youth Football League U14 FA Cup third place.
