The Hong Kong Premier Youth League U18 FA Cup final was held at Tai Po Sports Ground on Sunday, June 23. Kitchee defeated Eastern 3:1 and became the champions.
In the early stages of the match, Kitchee focused their attacks on the wings, with Lau Yu ho frequently challenging the opponents on the left flank, while Eastern utilized long passes to organize their offensive plays. In the 4th minute, Siu Chung Nam's long pass from the back was followed by a shot by Gao Ming Ho, but it missed the target. In the 18th minute, Kitchee finally broke the deadlock, as Yeung Cheuk Kwan's run to the byline and cross was converted by Pang Hing Hei's quick shot in front of the goal.
Trailing, Eastern stepped up their attacks, with Ng Yu Hei driving into the middle and taking a shot that was saved by Shek Tuscany. In the 39th minute, Kitchee found the net again, as Yeung Cheuk Kwan's cross from the right was finished by Lau Yu Ho at the far post. Kitchee led 2:0 at halftime.
Eastern continued to push hard in the second half, and Cheung Man Ho's header from a Yeung Tung Ki cross went over the bar. Later, Yuen Chun Him was fouled in the box by Siu Ching, and after reviewing the VAR, the referee awarded a penalty to Eastern. Ng Yu Hei converted the penalty, making it 2:1.
In the final stages, Kitchee scored again on the counter-attack, as Cheung Yiu Hin's powerful shot from Chan Wesley Yuenho's pass made it 3:1.
Ultimately, Kitchee defeated Eastern 3:1 and became the champions of the Hong Kong Premier Youth League (U18) FA Cup.
