The initial moments of the clash saw both sides struggling to carve out significant goal-scoring opportunities until the 7th minute when Sha Tin's Choi Yan Hon unleashed a shot after outmaneuvering his marker, only for it to sail over the crossbar.
Despite dominating possession, Sha Tin found themselves stifled by the robust defence of Central Kwai Chung Football Club.
In the 9th minute, Yip Tsz Chun Brian of Sha Tin latched onto a pass from Cheng Chun Yin and launched a ferocious strike, which was brilliantly thwarted by goalkeeper Chan Ho Chuen Bosco.
Central Kwai Chung Football Club retaliated three minutes later with a long-range effort from Leung Kwan Yiu, but it failed to breach the steadfast goalkeeper.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 12th minute when Sha Tin's Choi Yan Hon rifled a shot against the post after a precise pass, with Yip Tsz Chun Brian capitalizing on the rebound to slot the ball home, propelling Sha Tin to a 1:0 lead.
Sha Tin pressed on with Choi Yan Hon's sharp free-kick in the 14th minute, but it was expertly parried by the goalkeeper.
Towards the end of the first half, Central Kwai Chung Football Club bolstered their offence, but a powerful strike from Law Siu Wing, following a slick pass from Leung Kwan Yiu, narrowly missed the target. Sha Tin held a slender 1:0 lead at half-time.
Sha Tin dominated the second half, with Choi Yan Hon firing over the bar in the 21st minute after receiving a well-placed free-kick from Cheng Chun Yin.
Central Kwai Chung Football Club staged a counter-attack three minutes later, but Leung Lok Wai's acute-angled shot only found the side netting.
Despite this, Sha Tin continued to dictate the tempo of the game. Yip Tsz Chun Brian's free-kick fell off target, and his subsequent shot was comfortably gathered by the goalkeeper.
Victory was sealed for Sha Tin in the 33rd minute when Choi Yan Hon capitalized on a corner from the left, nudging the ball into the net for a 2:0 lead.
Before the final whistle, Choi Yan Hon had another opportunity with a penalty, but it was superbly saved by the goalkeeper.
Finally, Sha Tin emerged victorious with a 2:0 triumph over Central Kwai Chung Football Club, securing all three points and finishing as runner-up in the Jockey Club Futsal League - Division 3.
