Despite Kitchee enjoying the lion's share of possession early on, they struggled to carve out clear-cut chances. Their first real threat came 8 minutes into the game when Cheung Wai Ki unleashed a narrow-angle shot following a long pass from a teammate. However, it was Grace Citizen who managed to draw first blood. In the 13th minute, Kwan Wing Yu rocketed a long-range effort into the top corner after latching onto a pass from Sin Chung Yee, handing Grace Citizen a 1:0 advantage.

Trailing behind, Kitchee immediately ramped up their offensive pressure. 18 minutes in, Chung Pui Ki's left-footed strike from outside the box sailed over the crossbar. A minute later, Fu Chiu Man's ambitious long-range attempt failed to find the target, and Cheung Wai Ki 's powerful shot also whistled over the bar after capitalizing on a poor clearance from the opponent. Kitchee's relentless pressure paid off in the 24th minute when Ho Mui Mei clinically finished a brilliant straight pass from a teammate, restoring parity at 1:1.

Sticking to their attacking philosophy, Kitchee continued to dictate proceedings. Tsang Ho Yan Letti's header went high after connecting with a corner kick from the left in the 27th minute. Kitchee turned the tide in the 34th minute when Cheung Wai Ki rifled a left-footed shot into the net from inside the box following a header clearance by an opponent, taking the lead at 2:1. Despite several more chances before the interval, Kitchee were denied by the Grace Citizen goalkeeper C1 who parried away Ho Mui Mei's close-range effort. Kitchee went into the half-time break with a 2:1 lead.

Continuing their dominance in the second half, Kitchee Wong Ka Sze made a surging run down the right flank in the 54th minute, only for her shot from the edge of the box to drift wide. In the 63rd minute, Cheung Wai Ki 's header went over the bar after connecting with Lau Yui Ching's corner from the left. Moments later, a fine through ball from Cheung Wai Ki found Lau Yui Ching, but her attempt from a tight angle was thwarted by the goalkeeper. Kitchee consolidated their lead in the 67th minute. A corner from Lau Yui Ching found Danielle Anna Maria amongst a crowd of players, and she headed the ball home to extend the lead to 3:1.

In the 73rd minute, Kitchee's Cheung Wai Ki found space in the box after receiving a long pass, but her powerful shot was spectacularly saved by the goalkeeper.

Finally, Kitchee managed to hold onto their lead till the final whistle, securing a 3:1 victory over Grace Citizen and claiming all three points.
