Eastern seized control of the match almost immediately. In the 4th minute, Marcos Gondra's left-footed free-kick narrowly skimmed the crossbar.
By the 14th minute, Baffoe Noah delivered a cross from the left flank, finding the unmarked Barak Braunshtain whose header was easily collected by the goalkeeper.
Eastern maintained their offensive momentum into the 22nd minute when Tamirlan Kozubaev launched a long pass into the box. Bakor made a controlled right-footed shot, but the goal was disallowed due to a prior offside.
Resources Capital managed to create a scoring opportunity in the 39th minute. Lam Lok Yin Jerry lofted the ball into the penalty area from the left, and Tandy Ortega managed to get past Barak Braunshtain and set up Lam Lok Yin Jerry for a right-footed shot that just missed the target.
Two minutes later, Resources Capital had another attempt. Wong Ching Tak made a run down the left and delivered the ball into the box, where Moon Chi Sung took a shot with his left foot that sailed over the bar.
Just before the halftime whistle, Eastern broke the deadlock through a corner kick. Leung Kwan Chung's corner found Baffoe Noah, who rose highest to nod the ball into the net, putting Eastern ahead 1:0 at the break.
Eastern continued their dominance after the interval. In the 51st minute, Barak Braunshtain's free kick from the left found Marcos Gondra, whose header narrowly missed the target.
By the 58th minute, Eastern doubled their lead. Baffoe Noah was fouled in the penalty area after receiving a long pass, and the referee pointed to the spot. Leung Kwan Chung stepped up and confidently dispatched the penalty with his left foot, extending the lead to 2:0.
The relentless Eastern added another goal to their tally three minutes later. Wong Ho Chun's long-range effort was parried by the goalkeeper, but Barak Braunshtain was on hand to tuck home the rebound, making it 3:0.
Despite Resources Capital's efforts to get on the scoresheet, their attempts proved fruitless. In the 79th minute, Lee Yoonkwon's header from Lam Lok Yin Jerry's free kick failed to trouble the goalkeeper.
As the final whistle approached, Resources Capital's defense crumbled once more. Wong Tsz Ho made a run down the left and supplied a cross to Yu Yang Bosley, who fired a shot with his right foot into the back of the net.
When the dust settled, Eastern emerged victorious with a comprehensive 4:0 win over Resources Capital, bagging all three points.
