Kitchee set the tempo from the opening exchanges, with HO Mui Mei forcing a save from goalkeeper CHOW Kam Yee with a fierce drive from a narrow angle. Jianlibao hit back at the other end as WONG Ka Sze burst down the right and fired from inside the area, but CHAN Tsz Yiu was well positioned to block.
Kitchee’s early pressure told in the 17th minute. After a half-cleared ball dropped kindly on the edge of the box, CHEUNG Yai Ki stepped onto it and lashed a thunderous strike into the corner to break the deadlock. Jianlibao threatened briefly through a direct free-kick from WONG Tsz Ying that drifted off target, while Kitchee nearly doubled their advantage before the interval when CHAM Ching Man met a slick through ball unmarked, only to rattle the post.
Jianlibao emerged with renewed intensity after the restart, pressing higher and carving out openings down the left through SHUM Hau Nam Cat. A low ball flashed across goal just evaded TSANG Hoi Ying, and a later right-footed effort from SHUM Hau Nam Cat was pushed away by the Kitchee goalkeeper. Kitchee then steadied, began to dictate possession and went close through efforts from CHEUNG Wai Ki and HO Mui Mei.
The result was put beyond doubt late on. CHAM Ching Man collected a throw-in on the left and drilled a powerful finish from the edge of the area to make it 2-0, before CHEUNG Wai Ki surged past a marker on the right and teed up YU Pui Yan for a simple close-range tap-in to complete the rout.
The victory sealed a women’s futsal “double” for Kitchee this season. HO Mui Mei praised the team’s work rate and composure during Jianlibao’s second-half spell, and highlighted the semi-final against Yan Foot Society as a standout moment. Kitchee now turn their attention to the 11-a-side FA Cup, still chasing another trophy, with ambitions of reclaiming the league title next season and booking a place in the AFC Champions League.
