TSL FC set the tone early and came close in the ninth minute when T9 pounced on a loose pass from goalkeeper LUNG Wing Yan and unleashed a drive from the edge of the area, only for LUNG Wing Yan to rush out and smother the effort. The United Citizen keeper remained busy thereafter, denying a series of attempts from BANDOJA Isabella Marie Rabanoas TSL FC continued to press.
United Citizen’s best opening of the first half arrived on 10 minutes as CHONG Hoi Ching Jaylynn broke clear and tried their luck from a tight angle inside the box, but TSL FC goalkeeper NG Cheuk Wai stood firm with a smart block. TSL FC then squandered a gilt-edged chance a minute later when CHAK Ka Man’s ball in from the right found the unmarked TSANG Lai Shan Cindy at the near post, only for the close-range finish to flash wide.
The breakthrough came in the 13th minute. TSANG Lai Mae Halasan drove down the left flank, beat the defender and cut in a cross for CHOI Cheuk Yee, who made no mistake from point-blank range to send TSL FC into the interval 1–0 ahead.
TSL FC doubled the advantage within 60 seconds of the restart. TSANG Lai Shan Cindy saw an initial effort pushed away by the keeper after meeting a delivery from the right, but they reacted quickest to slam home the rebound for 2–0.
United Citizen threatened sporadically, with CHONG Hoi Ching Jaylynn’s long-range strike narrowly wide and KWAN Wing Yu forcing a save from the edge of the area, yet TSL FC remained in control. LUNG Wing Yan kept the scoreline respectable with further stops from T9 and BANDOJA Isabella Marie Rabano, while CHOI Cheuk Yee failed to hit the target with an open-goal chance after being teed up by a teammate.
TSL FC put the result beyond doubt on 30 minutes. BANDOJA Isabella Marie Rabano’s powerful drive was parried by LUNG Wing Yan, and ORTILLO Lanie arrived on cue to turn in the loose ball and complete the 3–0 victory.
