Dreams Metro Gallery faced off against BC Rangers on Sunday afternoon in Sham Shui Po Sports Ground for a BOCG Life Hong Kong Premier League fixture. Both sides battled extremely hard under rainy conditions and had to settle for a 1:1 draw after ninety minutes.
BC Rangers generated the first scoring chance of the game on the 2nd minute, when Chow Cheuk-fung’s corner-kick from the left-side was headed wide by a surging Gee Kyunghun at the near-post.
The visitors continued to dominate the early proceedings. On the 9th minute, Hui Ka-lok nicked the ball off a Dreams Metro Gallery player. The loose ball fell onto the path of Ernesto Gomez. The Spaniard managed to pull the trigger inside the box but saw his effort hitting the goal-post and stayed out of the net. The game was still scoreless at this point.
BC Rangers came close again on the 21st minute. This time, Gee Kyunghun unleashed a dipping volley from outside the box that just missed finding the intended target.
BC Rangers opened the score on the 31st minute, when Ernesto Gomez connected with a teammate’s header pass and powered the ball home through a lovely header, breaking the game open and putting BC Rangers in front.
However, the visitors’ joy was short-lived, as Dreams Metro Gallery equalized on the 37th minute, when Li Ka-chun’s cross from the right-side was fired home by Wong Tsz-ho near the goal-mouth. The game was now tied at 1:1.
Dreams Metro Gallery almost took the lead right before the half time. On the 45th minute, Yiu Ho-ming’s corner-kick found teammate Wong Tsz-ho at the back-post. The latter leapt high but headed the ball just wide off the BC Rangers goal.
BC Rangers nearly regained the lead on the 54th minute, when Chow Cheuk-fung delivered the ball into the Dreams Metro Gallery box. Gee Kyunghun headed the ball towards goal but saw his effort went high above the crossbar.

Dreams Metro Gallery had a half decent chance on the 79th minute, when Leonidas Soares’ corner-kick was headed straight towards BC Rangers keeper by Pablo Gallardo. The Dreams Metro Gallery defender probably would have liked to have done better with his chance.
Both sides continued to trade chances afterwards, as Tommy Chuck’s close-range shot and Leung Kwok-wai’s header both failed to solve the opposing keepers. Both sides were still locked in a 1:1 toe at the moment.
On the 90th minute, Dreams Metro Gallery came close to snatching the winner, when Pablo Gallardo’s header from goal-mouth-distance was somehow cleared away by Chow Cheuk-fung, keeping the game tied at 1:1.
