2016-2017 Jockey Club Futsal Cup (School Division)

“2016-2017 Jockey Club Futsal Cup (School Division)” is organized by The Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA), The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust as the major partner and supported by Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has donated some HK$120 million to the Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) to launch the Jockey Club HKFA 5-Year Football Development Programme. This first-ever holistic programme encompasses a wide range of systematic training opportunities, competitions and tournaments targeted at young people in the belief that football can instil positive values in youths and enhance character building. Being one of the fundamental development aspects of the programme, 2016-2017 Jockey Club Futsal Cup (School Division) aims at providing more playing opportunities for Hong Kong students from this territory-wide inter school competition in order to develop local futsal level. Jockey Club Futsal Cup (School Division) will begin from January 2017.

The Cup will take place at outdoor hard-surface football courts. The Cup will be divided into 5 preliminary rounds, including Hong Kong, Kowloon East, Kowloon West, New Territories East and New Territories South. 4 age groups are set for each rounds, which are Mix U10, Boys’ U13, Girls’ U13 (Only in Round Kowloon East and New Territories East) of Primary School, Boys’ U15 and Girls’ U17 (Only in Round Kowloon West and New Territories South) of Secondary School. The total enrollment figures will be 348 teams.

Application is now available to all schools. The enrollment is on first come first served basis in case of exceeding number of applications. Please refer to the regulations for more details. The deadline of application is 16th December, 2016.
